PVFA Linocut Poster
Project Overview
April 2024
I was given the opportunity to work with a team of seven others, design students and a professor, to design and carve a poster size linocut to represent Texas A&M University's College of Performance, Visualization, and Fine Arts. Once carved, the linocut was taken to the 2024 Downtown Bryan Street & Art Fair, where we prepped, inked, and placed the linocut to be rolled over by a steamroller, revealing the print. This project was a great opportunity to showcase PVFA, what we represent as a college, and explore a range of new skills.
My Roles
Typography • Layout • Illustration
For this project, I designed the typography and layout for the poster, one of the eye illustrations, assisted in the carving process, and participated in the preparation and inking of the linocut prior to printing.

Design Process
We began the process with the understanding that we needed to feature PVFA, its affiliation with Texas A&M University, and imagery that would effectively represent our College.
We chose to incorporate the imagery of eyes, recognizing that observation is a fundamental element across performance, visualization, and the fine arts.
Final Design
Incorporating the event details, date, and PVFA's tagline, we finalized the poster design.
